QTint interlayer HEAT is an interlayer where heating wires are applied. These interlayers can be laminated between glass.

Heatable film makes it possible to heat glass.
Heatable glass can be easily used as a heat source.

The tungsten wires, busbars and connectors forming the heating field. The heating wires together with the busbar are applied to the intelayer, which can be a PVB but also TPU. The heating wires can be applied in straight or curved paths and with or without small sinusoidal waves (wiggle wires) to the interlayer.

The film provides a heat source when electricity is passed through.
Heated glass solutions are essential for example:
•  vessels
•  offshore platforms
•  automotive sector
•  bathrooms (mirrors)
•  marine window applications (wheelhouse, cabins)
•  melt ice on glass roofs

Using heated glass removes the need for radiators or expensive underfloor heating.
In today architectural design building lot of glass is used,
especially for the large glaze extensions where there are no walls for radiations, this is a perfect solution to heat up the room.
But also where electricity is the only power source in houses.

There are heating capacities between 3 - 30 W/dm2 and or can be heated to a temperature of 20-40 ° C,
no matter what the outside temperature is.
With these heating fields specific heating powers of 4-6 W/dm² are feasible with battery voltage of only 12 volts.
With a diameter of 14-20 microns, the wires are almost invisible. The heated laminated glass retains a light transmission of over 95%.
